This spring I went on a walking tour with the author in Manhattan # 39; s Upper East Side. We walked a very fast pace, but stopped several times along the way looking at little shops selling all manner of goods. I was impressed with a good eye for detail Finell of the interesting questions asked shopkeepers and curiosity. She has a passion for this issue.

A good book on the subject, but most of the examples of the specialty stores that the author used stores located in the heart of tourist destinations (ie, Monterey, Caramel, Venice, etc..) If you live in average tourist places in America do not like most people, you probably will not find much useful information. I did, however, as the lists of the industry shows that otherwise do not know.

While this book is aimed at specialty gift shops in major tourist markets. I found the useful information. Vision rendered in the small store operations. The book gave me very good ideas.

Many valuable observations, but the book could have benefited from two things: more metrics (eg what are the typical profit margins of different types of retail lines) and more anecdotal advice of customers as well as shop owners. For example, would have been particularly enlightening if every store owner had asked the same set of questions (for trends) and if there had been some inquiries from customers (for example, why sponsor this tent and not others?

I loved it. Ok, it seems that someone managed to collect any type of fabric or fashion related promotional video they could find and piled them on this DVD, and I#39;m glad they did. I#39;m going to screen simplicity one at my next meeting of the American Sewing Guild. Very inspiring and fun - as the world has changed! Some videos show how the sale was done in the past century.

Firstly, I would like to personally thank Marta (and your computer) for inspiration and great pleasure that my family and I gleaned from this book. After you have copied ideas and brought flowers at the tip of general advice given in the great day we were amazed with the amount of thanks and praise given sample by customers. The results were really wonderful. I would point out that although at first glance, it appears that a small fortune would be spent to achieve any ideas in this book are sold, that is simply not the case. (In our case, in which the advice saved us a lot of money.) In fact, the ideas that we realized was the most expensive yet offered more wow factor . Indeed, Martha is a wizard to make the most of the simplest things. She absolutely knows what he is talking and I highly recommend this book.

I checked this book out at the library and had to renew it! I used this for many ideas for my wedding, and spent less than 10k on the whole thing doing a lot of things ourselves. Many people said it was the best wedding they have ever been. I would have bought the book if he could find it used, but it was too new for my budget. Get this book! not regret it! Another great book for modern wedding ideas, but charming Weddings Jo Gartin: An inspirational guide for the bride in style. You can have a charming wedding without going into debt!
